It's not a deal-breaker, but it does prevent you from turning cheats off and on, or accessing any other options. The problem is that with that setup, it's impossible to access the emulator's own menu. When you enter a battle, though, I often find a need to display both screens, instead of switching back and forth. I've been playing a ton of Pokemon HeartGold (HIGHLY recommended if you haven't checked it out before! best game in the franchise imo!), so most of the time I just keep top screen in full-screen mode, because it's pretty easy to play in the overworld. The issue I'm personally having is that, I can't decide which functions I should use the ZL and ZR triggers for.Ĭurrently, I have ZL set to switch-screen, and ZR set to I guess 'split-screen', where it shows both screens, left and right.
When I say 'trouble', I mean it's a simply enough process to setup your controls.
